Kayla Kennington has been creating one-of-a-kind clothing professionally for nearly four decades. She has won three international awards for her work, taught creative sewing all over the US and Canada, written numerous articles for fiber arts publications, and has her own line of sewing patterns.

Much of Kayla’s work started out as white silk, dyed, printed, painted, embroidered and embellished to create over 3000 very unique garments. Kayla has made it a point to save “treasured bits” of each project over the years. This has amounted to many bins of luscious scraps. This inspired Kayla to use these “bits” in a new way…and the “Treasured Bits” and “Tattered Goddess” Collections were born.

Kayla has published 11 patterns under the name of "Modular Design for Couture Artwear" and "Kayla Kennington Pattern Collection" between 2002 and 2014, and has designed 3 new tunic patterns for Vogue since (# 9188 & # 9229, and #9301).
